Great Quotes from Happy Users

I’m happy to say, we’re getting a lot of great feedback about Anonym.OS, as well as a ton of feature requests, many of which are already on our roadmap, which we’ll be posting here soon. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite quotes:

Steve of NeighborGeek News says:

This project by the kaos.theory security research group, if successful, will be one of the greatest innovations in computer security in a long time.

Anonym.OS — Been waiting for something like this! WOW!

Of course there have always been homegrown solutions to what Anonym.OS offers, however it is *very* nice to have an .ISO based, live non-linux solution (OpenBSD, best OS!).

Anonym.OS is now used exclusively here for all secure communication needs, as well as one of my most reccommended utils. :)
Keep up the great job!

Awesome program! I don’t use it for privacy, I use it for the security.

Your Kung Foo is strong, you have the force with you. Make us VMWare for x86 Intel MacBook Pro and you’ll do the world a favor, again :)

…I was always wondering if something like this would ever come out. Well…you guys put it out. So lots of props and respect to all of you who took the time and made the effort to provide this for the community.

nice idea! I have been looking for something like this for quite a time now :) and the best thing of course is that I can optimise my own system to resemble this as much as possible. learning from the true masters.

Great stuff! Makes me feel much better about surfing/icq on WLAN! Don’t have to worry about anyone intercepting my conversations on the radio waves.

And my personal favorite, from Joel:

…[I'm] a froggy mother tongue.

Wow, thanks. I’m not a tech person, and now I can have all this ease of mind. It sucks being clueless and vulneralbe, and while I’m working on being knowledgeable and strong, and non-broke (which will come in handy for some donation), this makes being ok on the web so easy.

Is it possible to install the system on to the hard drive. I know some livecd distributions let you do that.
    Any advice would be appreciated..

Hey guys, I liked it, but it refuses to run on my brand new machine! I hear a drive (I can’t tell which one) spin up to unsafe speeds…or somthing else beeps, and then it refuses to run, no errors or anything (though it does show boot sequence), i’ve read everything, nothing wants to work…

Let me first say, this concept makes me very excited. I’ve been waiting for even just an OpenBSD liveCD since i read about OpenBSD, and extra security and privacy on top of that? Excellent.

Second, I’m guessing that it’s premature to ask for more info (like a packet listing and the like) on the website. I assume that’s on the list somewhere down the road?

This is a great idea, guys, keep it up.

    Hi guys,

First off, let me say thanks for your efforts. The CD is truly awesome.

I have one complaint, though. Once booted, in Firefox, the network.http.sendRefererHeader is set to 2, in effect sending the last 2 websites visited in the browser headers. I can’t imagine why you would not have set that to 0. Otherwise, a stellar first offering. I can’t wait to see the next version.

I have been using Anonym.OS under VMware’s GSX Server (Linux Host), and have been very pleased.

I made a nice jewel case insert for the release, I will forward it. :)

I’m still waiting for an answer to the hard drive install question.
